Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated Episode 24 Review

Well, it's time once again for another blog review of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated.

This week's installment is titled "Dead Justice", and involves a long dead sheriff from Crystal Cove's Old West days(who knew Crystal Cove was like Dodge City or another town from an old TV western?); anyway, this sheriff, whose real name was Iron Will Williamson, was the top lawman back during the Cowboy days of said town.

Now however, this sheriff has come back from the dead and he wants to clean up Crystal Cove, just like he did back in the cowboy days(actually, that would make a good plot for pretty much any Western TV show, too bad none of them are around any more :(

After Dead Justice(the old sheriff's nickname) has come back from coincidentally enough: the dead, he wants to capture criminals throughout the city, and apparently wants the current sheriff's job as well.

Despite the fact that Sheriff Stone(which is his real first name apparently; and no I am not making that up) is in his mind doing a good job, Dead Justice doesn't care, and he wants Sheriff Stone's job, as well as to clean up the streets(typical Western lawman stuff huh?).

Showing once again that he is probably one of the most incompetant mayors in TV history(right up there with Adam West in Family Guy and Joe Quimby on the Simpsons), Mayor Jones decides to HIRE Dead Justice(sorry for the all caps) as the sheriff of Crystal Cove replacing the one time sheriff Stone.

Of course Scooby Doo and the gang are unsure of Dead Justice's true intentions, and in order to capture him, unmask him and reveal what he's really up to, Mystery Incorporated needs the help of Sheriff Stone.

The current, or rather former Sheriff Stone though doesn't want to see anybody, but after some coaxing from Crystal Cove's current mystery solving teens, Sheriff Stone decides to leave his house(his mother's house actually; who I think is voiced by Florence Henderson) and joins Scooby and company in attempting to solve the mystery of Dead Justice.

After some investigation, and some assistance by a blogger named Night Ranger, the gang is able to capture Dead Justice. As for the man behind the disguise, it's Sheriff Stone's deputy Bucky, who wanted to be the sheriff bad enough to disguise himself as a ghostly lawman in order to get the job away from Sheriff Stone.

However, the episode features a surprise at the end. The surprise being that Fred actually proposes to Daphne, who agrees(one would assume the two of them would get married after the gang graduates from high school, although more then likely college).

Although, judging by what is likely to happen the last two episodes of the show, that engagement may not be all set in stone. Of course, i'll avoid spoiling anything just yet, you'll just have to watch the last two weeks of SDMI to find out.

As for the actual episode, it was a good filler, and a great way to showcase one of the other non major characters in the show, plus of course the Fraphne. So I will give this episode an 8.3; not perfect, but a good episode nonetheless.

I'll say goodbye for now, but next week, and the week after that, my blogs are going to get much more interesting, as the SDMI episodes will get much more interesting. TTFN, ta ta for now everyone.
