Update/Batman Brave and the Bold Review

Boy, it's been a long time hasn't it? Well, we have some updates as far as Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated goes; the show is coming back, and will have new episodes on May 3rd at 7:30 PM.

I know some of you are probably or were probably wondering where I was, but basically i've been around working on other projects, like fan fiction and some other stuff.

But I am back and will be doing live blogs for Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. episodes in the future, and I might do some other blogs as well. In addition, tonight(as I speak) a new episode of the series Batman The Brave and the Bold is getting ready to air on Cartoon Network.

I mention this because there is a short 7 or so minute segment featuring Scooby and the gang working with Batman and Robin to take down The Joker and the Penguin, like the old New Scooby Movies crossover episodes.

Now, this isn't a full Scooby episode, but it does warrant a live blog on the show and episode; of course this will be my thoughts on the episode and general on Scooby, plus since the short with the gang is only 7 minutes long, there will be a lot of miscellaneous stuff on the blog, and very little Scooby content(but I will type a few things about Scooby and the episode in question).

6:12 PM: Major League Baseball season starts tonight, and the Mariners are set to start another campaign... It's going to be a long summer...

6:17 PM: This three cartoon segment thing on Batman The Brave and the Bold tonight reminds me a lot of Scooby and Scrappy from 1980-1984; not that that's a bad thing in this case, in this case Fred, Daphne and Velma are around... which is cool.

6:19 PM: Apparently my keyboard has decided to be very slow, so I may have issues typing stuff tonight.

6:24 PM: So FSN is now going to be called Root Sports; I mean I know about this, and found out about this a while back, but it's still stupid.

6:26 PM: OK, OK, I don't know what's funnier: Abbott and Costello Movies, or Down Time with Chewbacca playing a Guitar on Cartoon Network.

6:30 PM: Show Time; and let me add, this is the first time I have tuned into Batman Brave and the Bold to actually watch an episode. Usually I watch this if there's nothing else on.

6:31 PM: Bat Boy and Rubin? Um, what? I guess i'm not a superhero comic book fan.

6:31 PM: This is soooo stupid, I don't know if I can make it until the Scooby segment airs.

6:33 PM: The Fleagle Gang? This has got to be from like Mad Magazine or something.

6:33 PM: Wait, wait, wait; he has a gas that makes crooks think they're cops... and he throws it away! Jeez, what a dummy.

6:35 PM: Well, that was a waste of time.

6:35 PM: Yeah, there's no more murders, because they just blew up the whole freaking city!

6:36 PM: Again, that was stupid

6:36 PM: *Sarcasm Meter on* Oh goody, Bat Mite is back

6:37 PM: Fast forwarding through the open? Is that legal?

6:37 PM: A Batman Manga? Well, at least the Scooby segment is still coming up.

6:38 PM: Hmm... This might be good; Lord Death Man sounds kind of creepy.

6:40 PM: At least this second segment is better then the first; I would go for a full Bat Manga series on TV to be honest.

6:41 PM: First commercial break of the show, and it's about time.

6:43 PM: This is the first Mariners season without Dave Niehaus on play by play; this Mariners season is going to be really strange without him calling the games. It's like listening to Cubs games without Harry Carey, or listening to Dodger games without Vin Scully, or listening to Cardinals games without Jack Buck. Dave was an icon in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, and he will be missed; Go Mariners, and hopefully the M's will do a great job this year.

6:47 PM: Finally, Scooby Doo meets Batman and Robin! YES! This is going to be awesome!

6:48 PM: This looks exactly like the old New Scooby Movies episodes; awesome!

6:48 PM: The phantom looks like that hooded man from the first Scooby meets Batman episode.

6:49 PM: Cool, the Mystery Inc. cast is voicing the characters.

6:49 PM: Uh oh, the gang's in for it now

6:50 PM: "Scooby, Batman and Weird Al, the Holy Trinity of Pop Culture"; not much needs to be said after that.

6:52 PM: Why can't Scooby and the gang face more real villains? I wouldn't mind seeing Scooby and company tackle Catwoman, or Egghead, or some of the other Batman villains; or better yet, tackling Penguin and Joker, without the Caped Crusaders help, that would be awesome!

6:53 PM: Man, that Joker is Evil! Giving Scooby a pile of snacks is just wrong

6:53 PM: Aw come on! Not a Super Friends take off on their safety segments; not that that's a bad thing.

6:54 PM: Although that is cool that I think Matthew Lillard is voicing Robin as well as Shaggy.

6:54 PM: Shut Up Bat Mite!!!

6:55 PM: Shaggy and Scooby are hillarious, I don't care what everybody says, those two are awesome.

6:55 PM: Go get them Shaggy and Scooby!

6:56 PM: Oh dear, so much for that Fred plan.

6:56 PM: Gotta love the old costumes from the old Scooby episodes in the background.

6:57 PM: Cool, Batman can fight! This would have made the old episodes so much cooler.

6:57 PM: And he gave them to Shag and Scooby too! Far Out!

6:57 PM: Too bad he didn't give them to Daphne or Velma, that would be cool.

6:58 PM: Split it up? Jeez Shaggy, one track mind much?

6:58 PM: Polka huh? Lovely...

6:58 PM: Love those hidden references to Scooby episodes from the Past.

Well, I have to say I liked the Scooby meets Batman crossover; and the rest of the episode wasn't too bad either; I hate to chat and run but the M's game is starting, so farewell until the next Scooby Mystery Inc. episode.
