Stop Censorship Before It Starts

Tomorrow(December 15th) the U.S. House of Representitives is scheduled to vote on the Stop Online Piracy Act(SOPA).

At all costs, this bill must be stopped, because if it passes through the House, it could pass into legislation, and if it does, it could be the first step to this country turning into communist China or the Soviet Union or Castro's Cuba.

In short, it would limit free speech and if the bill passes legislation could be on the books which would make streaming copyrighted videos online a felony, and could also effectively shut down Deviant Art, Fan Fiction.net and Youtube, and seriously hamper the operations of Facebook and Twitter.

If you enjoy freedom and free speech, call your congressman or congresswoman to vote NO on the Stop Online Piracy Act, and then we as citizens can post and do everything we should be able to do online without the fear of being arrested or prosecuted.

We'd better fight this. I want to see any cartoon I wish on Watch Cartoons Online, especially SD:MI when it comes to Teletoon before Cartoon Network finally shows it way afterward! (Massive eye roll)

@Sagg: Indeed. Sorry this reply is incredibly late, but I've had other things going on in my life and I haven't been able to reply to your post.

Luckily SOPA and PIPA were defeated and it looks like the people in charge of those bills are pretty much backing down.

Although I'm sure there will still be bills like SOPA and PIPA in the future, which means we'll all have to band together and fight all of those sorts of bills.
