For the those of you who are not familar with sports or are not sports fans, the title of this blog is a popular nickname for the New York Yankees baseball team who captured their 27th World Series championship last night. I am not nor have I ever been a Yankee fan, in fact ever year I wish they would finish in last place, the reasons for this are as follows:
Evey off-season the Yankees spend hundreds of millions of dollars on players that they hope will lead them to a world championship, most of the time that doesn't happen and before this year their last world title was in 2000. The Yankees are a prime example of what's wrong with professional sports in 2009, their belief is that they can simply buy a championship every year which is IMHO the main reason why there is not a salary cap in major league baseball but there is one in every other major sport. Also there are personal reasons as to why I dislike the Yankees: they defeated the Mariners in the ALCS in both 2000 and 2001, for the most I dislike any team that defeats any Seattle team in the playoffs.
Anyway hopefully the Seattle Mariners brass will read this and make the right moves to help them compete for a division title, a pennant and a World Championship in 2010. The fans of Seattle sure deserve one.

Scooby Doo Fan Fiction Updates
As I mentioned on my profile for Fan Fiction.net I stated I may put updates on my Scooby writing on my blog. Well, I decided to do that after all. Currently I am working on a few different stories, for example versions of 12 out of the 13 episodes of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo Series but without Scrappy and with Fred and Velma. Several months ago I did my version of the first 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo episode "To All The Ghouls I've Loved Before", which is posted on my FF.Net account which is Scoobyfan1. Presently I am also writing a story in which Shaggy becomes a Warlock, also I am working on a rewritten version of the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo episode "Scoobra Kadoobra"; I started working my version of that story however after looking a t a review from someone on FF.net I made the decision to delete that story and rewrite it. I have been writing Scooby fan fics only since last year and I have been a fan since 1996. The way I see it one of the ways I can get better in writing is accepting the reviews and critcism both positive and negative; that is a common way for writers to get better in their work, I subscribe to that theory as well. That's about it for now.

Welcome to My Blog
This is basically just what the title of the blog applies to: Welcome. I thought about writing a blog several years ago but I changed my mind. However, after much thought and after talking to a friend of mine I have todecide to start my own blog, mainly just to share my thoughts on the world but kind of to annoy my friend. Anyway, that's it for now, but i'll be back with more.
